In 2004 I had the great pleasure of seeing Elaine May at City Arts and Lectures in San Francisco. I am trying to find a podcast or recording of that. She was amazingly funny, kind, generous, just brilliant. She even did push-ups on stage, and she was 72 at the time. She wrote the screenplay for "The Birdcage."
